Seda Unal, PhD is an accomplished Data Science and Analytics leader with over 16 years of relevant experience. Currently, she is the Head of Data Science at Box, a cloud content management and file sharing service provider. As a Senior Manager, Data Science at Box, Seda leads a team of data scientists and engineers to drive business impact through data-driven insights and solutions. Seda's expertise lies in machine learning, graph theory, and statistics. She enjoys the technical challenges that come with her role, as well as the business impact her team can make. Prior to joining Box, Seda worked as a Staff Data Scientist at Metromile and a Senior Data Scientist at Realtor.com, where she gained extensive experience in data science and analytics. Seda holds a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Optics/Optical Sciences from the University of Rochester and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Koç University. She also has a Master of Science degree in Data Science from the University of Rochester, a Master of Science degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, and a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Telecommunications Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.
